Fomr FCA President, Arman Labrada:
"Fiat Club America is preparing to hold an election of its Officers & Board of Directors. In addition to a vote for President and Secretary, there are 3 seats on the Board of Directors that are up for election. This year, candidates running for President & Secretary will vie for a 2-year term. The Board of Directors serve staggered terms of 3-years. One of the 3 seats on the Board of Directors to be filled will be for the two-year term to rebalance the Board.
The Officers and Board of Directors manage the club, its finances, the club website, the annual FreakOut national convention, and its network of Chapters. Our current membership is about 700. In order to grow our membership, Fiat Club America needs motivated members who are willing to volunteer their time, talent and energy by serving as an Officer or on the Board of Directors. Note that Board members are expected to devote a minimum of 8 hours per month and take responsibility for specific national club “jobs, roles and committees.” Please consider this time commitment before seeking a nomination. The President is responsible for the overall administration of the Club. The Secretary prepares minutes of each meeting and maintains the club records including minutes, by-laws, chapter guidelines, and election records. Please note that after serving as Club Secretary for 20 years, Tim Beeble has decided against running for another term and will concentrate on continue leading the Northeast Coast Chapter and helping with the annual FreakOut.
With respect to the Presidential race, I will have a meeting with all candidates and go over the legality and liability involved with being president. I want to make sure that the winner is not unaware of all aspects of presidential duties.
Members who wish to run as a candidate for an officer position or for a seat on the Board of Directors may nominate themselves or another member, provided that the nominated member is willing to serve. Please submit your nomination to Tim Beeble, Club Secretary, at tbeeble@gmail.com by 11:59 pm on September 14, 2025. The online election will take place late in September. To be eligible to vote, an individual must be a dues-paid club member as of August 31st.
The Club Vice President, Michael Sharpe, and Club Treasurer, Lou Teresi, are not up for election this year. The following current members of the Board of Directors are also not up for re-election and will continue to serve on the Board for the balance of their terms:
John Montgomery
Jason Tackett
Michael Brenner
Karen Gallo"
