STELLANTIS NEWS:

1. Stellantis’ Shares to Win employee stock purchase program just closed its 3rd year. Over 3 years, Stellantis employees have purchased over 22,000,000 shares of stock. The subscription-based program offers a 20% discount on shares and matching contributions from Stellantis up to 1,000 Euros. The program was put into place to help improve employee engagement and commitment to Stellantis and productivity.

2. Stellantis just surpassed 1,000 hires for their Windsor assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. They plan on hiring up to 1,500 workers as they add a third shift to boost production of Dodge Chargers and Chrysler minivans.

3. While Stellantis has seen some rough times financially in recent years, things are turning around. Insider Monkey now lists Stellantis as 1 of its Top 9 Auto stocks to buy.

BRAND NEWS:

Alfa Romeo:

It appears Alfa’s Cassino plant is the big loser from Alfa Romeo plans to go 100% EV. With the EV market slowing and Alfa Romeo scrambling to reconfigure for hybrid and gas vehicles, Cassino is left with little to produce. Cassino may not resume production until late 2026 or early 2027.

Fiat:

1. It appears the Topolino will be designated as a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) in the US market, the same slot used by road legal golf carts and Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs). The LSV designation would allow the Topolino to legally use roads with speed limits of 35 mph and lower.

2. The Grande Panda just won the Auto Europa 2026 title. This award is bestowed by the Italian Union of Automotive Journalists, 160 industry “opinion leaders”, and public feedback. FIAT has also announced a fully gas version of the Grande Panda featuring the 1.2L Turbo.

Lancia:

Lancia has announced a limited edition HF watch from Eberhard & Co. Only 120 will be made. For more information, go here: https://www.eberhard-co-watches.ch/en/novita/lancia-hf/

Maserati:

The Grecale Modena drops the 2.0L engine in 2026. The base level model will now come with a detuned Nettuno V-6. Offering 386 hp, an increase of 60hp over the 2.0L, the Grecale will retain the same $86,495 price tag as it had with the 4 cylinder.  The Grecale Trofeo continues to come with the 523hp version of the Nettuno twin turbo.
