Hi, the 2012 Fiat 500c has been doing well for about 9 years, 2nd owner. Did replace gas tank recently as wud not take gas w/o difficulty. Now I see that I have loose tensioner straps at the back of the "roof" on both sides. Top did well until now/ moderate use and admittedly one greasing in 2019 ,(alas, yes I now know was not enuf). Can I join the loose straps/ zip ties,
albeit a bit loosely and expect it to work ?? Any help wid this greatly appreciated. The top is now fully closed BTW. Thank you John Fields. PS- willing to call if acceptable
PPS- Car in good shape other than top. Florida & NC usage only.
