DFW CHAPTER - FIAT CLUB AMERICA OCTOBER 2026 NEWSLETTER
September was a full month of activities, from car shows to a winery tour and a national election for the FIAT Club America Board of Directors. October is Italian American Heritage Month. Our activities in October will reflect that celebration via Italian motoring. All our events in October have date changes, so please check the calendar carefully.
SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR DUES CURRENT FCA MEMBERS: Voting for The Board of Directors closes October 7th at 9PM. If you have not yet voted, please do so! See the FCA news section below for more info.
NEXT CLUB ACTIVITY:
10th: Red River Triumph Club European Car Show
Tarrant County College, South Campus
5301 Campus Drive
9:30AM – 2:30PM
This is a fantastic event organized by the Red River Triumph Club. There will be live music. Bathrooms are inside the student hub. The cafeteria will also be open this year. There is plenty of shade available, so even if Texas heats back up, we will be fine.
Proceeds from the car show go to a scholarship fund at Tarrant CCC for students in automotive repair and restoration programs. From a vintage Italian motoring perspective, can there be a better cause?

STELLANTIS NEWS:
1. Stellantis CEO Anothy Filosa sees a market opportunity in North America for less expensive vehicles. To capitalize on this, Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep combined will introduce 9 new vehicles for less than $40,000. Two will be less than $30,000. Most will offer a mix of power trains, including hybrid options.
2. The Paris Auto Show takes place October 12-18th. Stellantis marques will have 9 concept car and 60+ overall vehicles on display.
3. In Q3, RAM outsold Jeep in North America for the first time since the brand spun off from Dodge in 2009. RAM sales rose 29% in Q3.

BRAND NEWS:
Alfa Romeo:
1. Alfa will have their entire current line up on display at the Paris Car Show. More importantly; however, will be the introduction of their new concept car, the Cuorerosso. Alfistis are anxiously waiting to see if the Cuoreosso will define Alfas’s future in the way the Tonale concept became a main seller or if it will take the path of the Stradale 33 concept that was only produced in limited numbers.
2. The current Giulia and Stelvio have 1 more model year left; production for both ceases after 2027. All new models, yet to be named, will appear beginning in 2028.
Fiat:
1. Both the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will be making their public debuts at the Paris Car Show. Expect to see Grizzlies in the US soon with small changes and rebadged as the Chrysler Arrow and Arrow Cross.
2. FIAT will also display an interesting concept at Paris called the Multiplay. Obviously drawing on the “Multipla” moniker, the Multiplay is a combination of both SUV and pickup. It features an innovative system that lets it easily convert from SUV to pick up. I have absolutely no idea how this works, but if it is successful, it will create a brand new class of vehicles. Can’t wait to see it!
Lancia:
1. Paris will also be big for Lancia. They will display 2 versions of the Ypsilon, including the 2026 WRC2 champion Ypsilon HF Integrale. They will also debut their new Gamma. Three versions of the Gamma will be on display; a hybrid, EV, and the HF Integrale, an all-wheel drive EV. The EV Gammas both feature ranges over 400 miles.
2. Looking forward, the Lancia Delta seems to have disappeared. Originally scheduled for 2028, the Delta no longer appears on the Stellantis 2030 road map.
Maserati:
1. Despite previous reports Maserati would unveil a new concept car at Paris, the brand isn’t even going to have a booth at the show.
2. Talks with Huawei and JAC to co-develop cars have hit a snag as Stellantis is balking at the price Huawei wants to charge for licenses for their software suites. If prices can be worked out, expect such a marriage to create vehicles with JAC underpinnings, Huawei software, and exterior design, cabin fitment, and overall assembly by Maserati.

DFW CHAPTER NEWS:
1. Due to a variety of circumstances beyond our control, dates for all our October events have changed. Please see the calendar for details.
2. I humbly ask for your vote for FCA Board of Directors. I proudly represent the DFW Chapter on the board. During my first term, I spearheaded the switch to Club Express. Not only did this allow us to create our new website, but it consolidated our club management software and saved us thousands of dollars per year. I created and ran the BUILDER campaign that raised the funds needed to allow our switch to Club Express. I also researched and led the switch to a national print center that reduced our costs per issue for our magazine and calendar by ~$3,000 per print. I will continue to represent the western regions of FCA as a board member and will strive to increase our outreach to non-FCA Italian car owners as well as increase transparency with our members in the future. You can see bios for all the candidates via a link of the election survey form on the FCA website. Whether you choose to vote for me or not, please vote!
3. Our late November meet up (yet to be finalized) will double as a planning meeting for our events in 2027.

As we begin to cool off in October and *gasp* even see that strange liquid stuff falling from the sky again, we have many opportunities to hit the roads in non-a/c, top-down friendly weather. Again, it is Italian American Heritage Month. What better way is there to celebrate than to strap into a beautiful Italian automobile and
GET OUT AND DRIVE!

24th: Cavalli Pizza and TUPPS Brewery
Come early and explore Adriatica Village before lunch! Adriatica Village is modeled after a Croatian fishing village. It features great views and shopping galore. While it doesn’t have the overly narrow streets of an old European city, the village does display the look of Europe right in McKinney. After lunch, we will take a short drive to the TUPPS Brewery and partake in another European delight: beer! Located on 4 acres of land used by a grain mill and storehouse that operated for over 120 years, TUPPS incorporates the old mill and its materials into a modern craft brewery and taphouse.
