Dinner and a Movie has become one of our most popular summer events.  We meet up at a local restaurant then drive to the Coyote Drive-In for a movie after dinner.

This year, pending release as scheduled, our movie wll be Brad Pitt's upcoming F1, a movie about Formula racing.

Here is the intinerary:

6:00PM Meet up at Terry Black's BBQ in Ft Worth
               2926 W 7th St
6:30PM Move inside to eat.
7:30PM Drive 3.2 miles to the Coyote Drive-In in Ft Worth
                223 NE 4th St
9:00PM Watch F1

Terry Black's BBQ:
For far too many BBQ joints, sides are an afterthought.  Not so at Terry Black's.  Here, the sides are just as good as the BBQ, and the BBQ is GOOD.

Coyote Drive-In:
The Coyote Drive-In features newly released, first run movies on their 3 modern, laser projector, high definition screens.  

FI:
Veteran racer Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) comes out of retirement to team with and mentor rookie team mate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris).  Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Director Joseph Kosinski previously teamed up on Top Gun: Maverick.

One of the co-producers is 7-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.  A lot of the footage was shot on real F1 tracks and even uses real F1 drivers, who make multiple cameos during the film.  Both Pitt and Idris drove cars during the filming.

We try to keep our summer movie car related, if possible, and F1 seemed the perfect choice.
